Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Insurso ("Insurso," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our agency-management software (the "Service"). Insurso provides software to independent insurance agencies; we are not a licensed insurance carrier, agency, or producer.
Information we collect
- Account data — your name, email, phone, National Producer Number (NPN), and agency details you provide at onboarding.
- Agency book-of-business data — client records, policies, carriers, claims, commissions, and related records you or your producers enter or import.
- Usage data — log and device information used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
Insurance data and your clients
Your agency's client and policy data is your data. Insurso acts as a data processor handling it on your behalf. We treat client personal information — including data elements that may be regulated under state insurance privacy laws (such as the NAIC Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Model Act and state implementations of it) and applicable financial-privacy rules under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act — as confidential nonpublic personal information.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share your clients' nonpublic personal information with insurance carriers or other third parties without your or your client's consent, except as required to operate the Service at your direction (for example, when you choose to submit a risk to a carrier) or as required by law.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, secure, and support the Service.
- To power features you invoke, such as renewal tracking, certificate generation, and AI coverage-gap analysis.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations (including support for your E&O audit trail).
AI features
Certain features use third-party AI models to analyze the data you submit for that feature. Data sent to these models is used to generate the requested output and is not used by Insurso to train its own models.
Data retention and security
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your data; see our Security page for details.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your state of residence, you and your clients may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information. Account owners can export or delete agency data; contact us to exercise these rights.
